All WPMBA students choose from 2-3 sections of each core course taught in distinct modalities: 1. Distance format with both the instructor and students online, 2. In-person with students on-campus or 3. Hybrid with the instructor in the classroom and students in-person or virtual. The delivery method for electives varies based on your selections at Fisher and across campus, but we have an impressive range of options. Your academic advisor will help you make selections and find options across one of the largest universities in the country. Learning by doing is a cornerstone of Fisher’s immersive, action-based MBA curriculum, and there are many ways to engage with organizations near and far on real projects. Online students have the same access to Global Applied Programs (GAP), Global Business Expeditions (GBE), Washington Campus, and other experiential learning opportunities that local students have. Some optional experiential learning may have criteria that students must meet to participate (example: travel for GAP or GBE).
Unmatched career support
Students learning on-campus or online receive one-on-one career services and coaching from Fisher's dedicated Office of Career Management. Some extra-curricular programming/networking requires students to be present and is unavailable online. However, we are creating equivalent opportunities to serve students learning online.
Students applying to the Working Professional MBA program can enroll as a residential (in-person) Flex WPMBA student or an Online WPMBA student. Both Flex and Online students can take in-person and online classes. Enrollment choice is used for tracking and tuition purposes. The program option chosen should reflect your preferred and predominant delivery model.
Note: WPMBA students from outside Ohio who choose the Online WPMBA will not be charged out-of-state tuition but are required to pay a $200/semester non-resident surcharge.
